Carvoeiro was once a sleepy fishing village but has now become the perfect holiday resort for families as well couples and holiday makers of all ages. In the middle of the village Carvoeiro beach is in a safe, beautifully sheltered sandy bay and spreads out just in front of the village square with cliffs protecting it on either side. Between Casa na Colina and the village the sandy Paraiso beach is surrounded by high cliffs. Only short distances away are many other beaches, some even nicer – Centianes, Carvalho, Caneiros and Praia Grande.
